Your Wedding Morning Step by Step with Kristy’s Artistry Design Team

Your wedding morning should be a joyful, relaxed start to the biggest day of your life. For our brides, that means slipping into a robe, sipping your coffee or mimosa, and knowing that your bridal glam squad has everything under control.

At Kristy’s Artistry Design Team, we specialize in creating a calm, organized, and beautiful start to your wedding day. Our wedding hair and makeup artists handle every detail so you can enjoy the experience and step into your ceremony feeling radiant and ready. Here is your step-by-step look at what your wedding morning will be like with Kristy’s Artistry Design Team by your side.

Step One: Preparing Before the Big Day

Before your wedding day, we recommend scheduling a Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial. This is our time to talk through your beauty vision, try different styles, and fine-tune the details until we achieve your perfect look. It is also when we review the logistics of your wedding morning and start mapping out your beauty timeline.

As your wedding day approaches, we send a personalized Timeline and Prep Letter. This is more than just a schedule; it is a guide for the entire beauty process. You can share it with your wedding party so everyone knows when they will be in the chair and how to prepare. It is one of the first steps to creating a smooth, stress-free morning.

Step Two: Our Arrival and Setup

On your wedding morning, our team arrives about 10 to 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. This gives us a moment to unpack our kits, set up our tools, and get everything ready. We have already consulted with our client coordinator team for details like room numbers, entry instructions, and any special notes for the location.

Many times our artists travel together so we arrive in sync and ready to begin right away. We want your morning to feel effortless from the moment we walk in the door.

Step Three: The Service Flow

We usually start with hair, allowing the style to set. Then we can check for any weak spots later in the morning. Makeup comes second, so it stays fresh for photos and the ceremony. The bride is typically the last makeup application, because we want her to be 100% camera-ready when it matters most.

If you have had a trial, your wedding day artist will be the same one you worked with. They will bring your trial sheet with every product used, style details, and photos so your look can be recreated perfectly. We also take time for a quick day-of consultation in case you want any adjustments.

If you have not had a trial, that is completely fine. Your artist will walk through your inspiration photos, likes and dislikes, and any concerns to make sure you feel confident before we begin.

Step Four:  What We Bring

We arrive with everything needed for your hair and makeup services. That includes professional styling tools, hair products, and a full range of makeup in both traditional and airbrush foundations for every skin tone.

Bridal party members and family who are booked for classic services are welcome to bring inspiration photos. Our artists are trained in all classic styles and can create the look you want on the spot. If your inspiration includes luxury details, we can talk through adjustments to achieve a similar style within the classic service time.

For luxury makeup services, we also include skin prep such as primer, serum, and soothing under-eye patches to help depuff and create a smooth base for flawless application.

Step Five: Staying on Time

We are known in the wedding industry for running smooth and on time, often finishing ahead of schedule. Once each service is complete, we rotate bridal party members between hair and makeup so the morning flows without delays.

We also work closely with your photographer’s timeline. We recommend finishing all services at least two hours before the ceremony, giving plenty of time for portraits, first looks, and other pre-ceremony moments.

Step Six: Making the Most of the Morning

Sometimes the photographer will capture behind-the-scenes photos while we are working, which make for fun and memorable images. Matching pajama shots with the bridal party are a favorite. If you would like us in the photos, we are happy to be part of them. If you prefer us to step aside, assuming the timeline allows, we will make space so the focus is entirely on you and your wedding party.

Step Seven: Final Touches and Send Off

When hair and makeup are complete, and if time allows, we call everyone back for touch-ups. This is the moment for refreshing lipstick, securing a hairpin, or adding extra setting spray for all-day wear. When we leave, we want everyone to feel beautiful and confident.

If there are day of service add-ons such as lashes, we finalize those additional service fees before we begin packing up. Our team works quickly and neatly, leaving your prep space just as we found it so you can move into the rest of your day without any distractions.

Your wedding morning should be a memory you look back on with a smile. With Kristy’s Artistry Design Team by your side, you can relax, enjoy the moment, and trust that your bridal glam squad has everything handled. From the first curl to the last set of eyelashes, we are here to make sure you look and feel your absolute best when it is time to walk down the aisle.
