Hey beautiful bride-to-be! Wedding day is almost here, and you’ve probably got a million things on your mind—dress, details, photos, and of course… glam time. At Kristy’s Artistry Design Team, we’re here to make sure your wedding beauty timeline is seamless, stress-free, and absolutely flawless.
Let’s break down how hair and makeup fits into your wedding day schedule, so you know what to expect—and how to plan like a pro.

Why the Wedding Beauty Timeline Matters
Your hair and makeup team is the first vendor you’ll see on wedding day. That means we set the tone for everything else to follow. If beauty runs behind, everything else likely will too.
That’s why our process is dialed in to perfection—timed, tested, and trusted over 11+ years. We have the largest and most qualified hair and makeup team in Central Florida. So, without a doubt, we’ve got your back from the first bobby pin to the final makeup touch-up.

How Long Will Hair and Makeup Take?
Let’s get straight to it:
Hair services typically take 25–45 minutes per person, depending on length, thickness, and style.
Makeup runs on a similar timeframe. But we don’t work on strict individual time slots. Why? Because someone always needs to grab coffee, feed the baby, or finish breakfast—and that’s okay!
We operate on a rolling schedule. As soon as one person finishes, another hops into the chair. To keep it moving, we recommend having at least two people ready to go every 30 minutes. You might wait a few minutes, but we’d rather you wait on us than have us waiting on someone and risk falling behind.
Hair First, Makeup Later (Yes, There’s a Reason!)
We always start with hair for everyone. Once hair is done—or close to it—we move on to makeup.
If your hairstyle is down with curls, we often set it first thing in the morning. That gives curls time to cool and strengthen, so they hold longer. We’ll come back and finish the style after makeup.
If your style is an updo, we complete it early so we can monitor how well it holds. Either way, the final result is picture-perfect.
The Bride Goes First (and Last!)
We always take the bride first for hair. Why? Because you’re the most important person in the room, and we want time to perfect every strand. Taking your time allows you to enjoy the rest of the morning stress-free.
We’ll bring you back about an hour before the end time for makeup and hair touch-ups. This ensures you’re the freshest and most photo-ready when it’s time to step into your dress.
Planning Backwards From Ceremony Time
Here’s a simple rule of thumb:
Plan for 1.5 to 2 hours of buffer time between the end of hair and makeup and your ceremony.
Why? You’ll need time to:
-
Put on your dress (especially if it has lots of buttons or a corset)
-
Accessorize with shoes and jewelry
-
Take bridal party “getting ready” photos
-
Have a first look with your partner or family
-
Travel to your venue if you’re not getting ready onsite
Trust us, that extra time matters. You’ll want a few moments to breathe, sip champagne, and enjoy the moment. Rushing is not the vibe.
Coordinating With Your Photographer
One key tip: Check in with your photographer. They’ll help you figure out how much time they’ll need before the ceremony for first looks, group photos, or bridal portraits.
Their timeline helps shape ours. We often base our start and finish times around the photography schedule so that everyone is photo-ready on cue. Teamwork makes the timeline work.
What About the Bridal Party?
Your squad will follow the same rolling schedule. We’ll assign the right number of artists to ensure the whole group finishes on time.
Each service takes about 45 minutes, and we stagger them every 30 minutes to avoid gaps. That means your bridesmaids need to be ready when we are—dressed in robes, faces washed, hair dry, and ready to glam.
If someone’s missing when it’s their turn, it could cause delays. We don’t want that for you—or for them.

The Secret to Our Success: The Timeline & Prep Letter
One more thing that makes us different: our Timeline & Prep Letter. This document hits your inbox 4 to 6 weeks before your wedding and includes:
-

-
Getting ready location

Assigned artists
-
Remaining balance info
-
Hair and skin prep instructions

It’s your one-stop guide for a smooth morning. We also recommend forwarding it to your bridal party so everyone’s prepped and ready.
